Behavioral Health
We offer a variety of behavioral health services to individuals living with HIV or affected by HIV. All services are free of charge and confidential. Services are rendered though individual and group sessions as well as psychiatric medication management. Over 500 people receive behavioral health services through NO/AIDS annually though individual and support group sessions with behavioral health therapists and peer support specialists. We currently have two part time psychiatrists on staff, one of whom is bilingual. We currently have five counselors and one supervisor. Additionally, we provide substance abuse treatment for HIV positive individuals.
Our behavioral health program includes the following services:
- Individual, couples, and family therapy
- Psychoeducational and support groups
- Peer support
- Psychiatric medication management
- Recovery Works, a program which provides specialized substance abuse treatment to people living with HIV
Our programs operate Monday through Friday, from 8:30-5:00. Evening hours can usually be arranged when the need is present. Groups occur both during regular business hours and in the evenings.
